Harvard University New Ladder Faculty Institute

Date:

Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 11:45am to 3:00pm

Location:

Harvard Faculty Club, Library

Harvard new ladder faculty are warmly invited to join President Drew Gilpin Faust and Senior Vice Provost Judith D. Singer at the University-wide New Ladder Faculty Institute to be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

This half-day event is designed to give you an opportunity to meet the other new faculty from all across Harvard and to introduce you to the numerous resources available to you throughout the University. We will also have panels of distinguished faculty who will share their perspectives on how to approach scholarly work and effectively contribute to your department, the University, and your field(s).

Following the New Faculty Institute, you and your spouse/partner are invited to attend a work/life resource fair and reception. This will provide an opportunity to meet other new and current ladder faculty across all of Harvard and for spouses/partners to meet one another. Representatives from offices across Harvard will provide information on resources and services that assist faculty and their families to thrive in the Cambridge area.

The Institute is sponsored by the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development & Diversity.
