Finding an Administrative Job at Harvard: an Exclusive Workshop for Partners and Spouses of Harvard Ladder Faculty

The Office of Faculty Development and Diversity, FAS Faculty Development, and HR Recruitment Services are delighted to host an exclusive workshop for faculty partners and spouses interested in finding an administrative position at Harvard. Experienced HR recruiters and faculty partners working in administrative roles will provide helpful tips and strategies for a successful job search. A resume review with an HR recruiter will follow for job seekers who are interested in a one-on-one consultation. This is a great networking event for partners and spouses of Harvard faculty who wish to explore professional career opportunities at Harvard. A light breakfast will be served. Open to spouses and partners of Harvard ladder faculty only. 9-9:10 am Sign-in, coffee, and light breakfast 9:10-9:20 am Welcome remarks and introductions 9:20-10 am Experienced HR recruiters will provide an overview of working at Harvard from the recruitment perspective (important skills and desired qualities, overview of the hiring process, tips and strategies that make a difference, etc.) There will also be time for Q&A. 10-10:10 am Break 10:10-10:50 am Panel of faculty partners who work at Harvard, telling their job search stories and sharing what worked for them and how things turned out. There will also be time for Q&A. The panelists are: Crate Herbert, Director, FAS Campaign Initiatives in Alumni Affairs and Development; Colleen Ammerman, Assistant Director of the HBS Gender Initiative; and Glenn Lopez, Research Programmer for HarvardX. 10:50-11 am Closing remarks 11-11:45 am Resume consultation with an HR recruiter for those job seekers who are interested in staying for this portion.
