Request for Proposals: Impact Lab Start-Up Funding
Harvard Impact Labs has released a new RFP for Harvard faculty members to apply for Impact Lab Start-Up funding.
About Harvard Impact Labs
- It is a University-wide initiative launched last year to empower Harvard faculty to work with practitioners and communities to develop, test, and scale solutions to some of the world’s most pressing social problems.
- Meet the newly funded impact labs involving faculty from four different Harvard schools.
Impact Lab Start-Up Funding
- At least two awards of up to $500,000 over two years will be provided to launch rigorous new research aimed at tackling an urgent social problem in collaboration with government, nonprofit, or for-profit entities. New or existing research teams may apply.
- Letters of Interest are due March 18, 2026

Eligibility
All Harvard faculty who are tenured, tenure-track, or a full-time Professor of the Practice or Professor in Residence are eligible to apply.

- Interested faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to attend one of two info sessions where Harvard Impact Labs faculty and staff will review key info and answer questions.
